# PDFs and files

> Import PDFs and images, highlight and annotate, and export with your annotations.

## Import

Choose **Import PDF, Audio, or Images…** (or **Import from photos**). Supported files include **PDF, PNG and JPG**. Imports appear in the current project; progress is shown while files are prepared.

## Read and annotate

- Switch between single and **Two Pages** views and use **Fit Width** to zoom.
- Use **Select Text**, then **Highlight** or **Underline**, or add a text annotation.
- Write directly on the page with the pen tools.
- Open the **Highlights and Annotations** list to jump between them.

RooQi never modifies the original PDF file you imported; annotations are stored separately.

## Ask about a page

With a RooQi AI subscription, choose **Ask RooQi ai About This Page** or select a region and ask about it. Only the content needed for that request is sent. See [Ask RooQi AI and make minutes](/docs/guide/ai-and-minutes/).

## Export

- **Export PDF (Keep Annotations)** — a PDF with your highlights and notes.
- **Export Pages as PNG** or **Export Page Range** for parts of a document.
- **Export RooQi Package** — a complete package that can include original recordings, attachments and history. Share it only with people you trust.
